Wisdom Between the Generations: Together in Faith & Life

2020 has been a year of disconnection and hardship for so many.
This event will spark hope and encouragement in new ways.
Join us as we celebrate and share the faith and collective wisdom of women
of different ages and vocations. Anima Women’s Network will be relaunched as
an Apostolate within the Catholic Women’s League of Victoria and Wagga Wagga.

There will be three on-line sessions for you to join, providing opportunity for reflection,
prayer, the sharing of wisdom and insights, as well as a guided pre-Christmas craft activity.

Situated at 132-134 Nicholson Street Mary Glowrey House is the administrative Headquarters of the Catholic Women’s League of Victoria and Wagga Wagga Inc. A Committee administers the financial and general management, e.g., maintenance. A resident Manager, with the assistance of volunteers, daily manages the house – bookings, etc.

The Mary Glowrey Prayer Group was originally set up so that older members who were unable to actively assist the League could still join in its mission.

Now it is open to all members. We pray for the intentions of League members and for current issues.


The Missions and Welfare Committee assists missions in the near North – both in Australia and overseas with donations of goods and finance. Each year, scholarships are given to support underprivileged children continue their education. The Committee derives its funds solely from Branch/member donations.


The Social Questions Committee keeps members of the League informed about the teaching of the Church on current social issues. Submissions on legislative and administrative issues are submitted to relevant authorities on behalf of the League.


“The Horizon” is the official magazine of the League and is published 10 times a year. The Committee produces the magazine, utilizing articles and reports by members. All articles submitted are published at the discretion of the Editor. Funds are derived from subscriptions, advertising and donations from Branches/members.
