About The Catholic Women’s League of Victoria and Wagga Wagga Inc.
The Catholic Women’s Social Guild – now known as the Catholic Women’s League of Victoria and Wagga Wagga Inc. – was founded in the Melbourne Archdiocese in 1916 by a group of young Catholic women whose aim was to bring about change in world affairs through prayer and action.
Our Constitution
The Constitution of the Catholic Women’s League of Victoria and Wagga Wagga Incorporated was approved by the League on 20 August 2022.

Governing Board
Our Governing Board meets 11 times a year on the second Wednesday of the month to keep abreast of current issues both within the League and society generally. An Annual General Meeting is held on rotation in each of the Dioceses.
Dioceses
Diocesan Committees meet quarterly and hold an Annual Meeting.
The Dioceses are Ballarat, Sale, Sandhurst, Wagga Wagga and Melbourne Archdiocese.
Branches
Branches are located in Parishes throughout the Dioceses of Victoria and Wagga Wagga. Branch members support spiritual and practical aspects of local Parishes and the work of the League.
Membership is available for women without a Branch of the League in their Parish.

Numurkah, Tallangatta and Tangambalanga.
